Obituary for Greg Jamison

Greg Jamison, 71, lost his fight against cancer on September 10th, 2019, surrounded by his family at his home in Olathe, KS. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service Tuesday, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler (660-679-0009). Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com.
Greg was born on June 5th, 1948 to Virginia Hunter Jamison and Jay Hugh Jamison. He was raised in Butler, Mo. with his brother Kent Jamison, later moving to Johnson County where he attended and played football for Olathe North and Shawnee Mission Schools. Greg volunteered to serve his country and entered the U.S. Army in 1967. He proudly served until late 1968, spending most of that time deployed to Vietnam. After his return, Greg spent much of his career in the trucking industry, like his father. In 2013 he retired as a business owner in Olathe, KS.
On September 1st, 1972 he married the love of his life, Su Linda Redmond. Together they raised two daughters. He spent his life being a devoted husband to his wife, loving father to his daughters, and wonderful grandpa and great grandpa to his grandchildren.
Greg leaves behind his wife Su Linda, his daughters Rochelle and Jacquelyn, son-in-law John, grandchildren KaeCee, Tabytha, Sean, Samantha, and Ian, his great grandchildren Khoury, Khillian, and Khyndrah, brother Kent, and his beloved black labs. Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia, his father Hugh, and Brother Terry.
The family cherishes their time with Greg and invites others to celebrate the life of this soldier, businessman, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. We love him so much – and we will miss him.
